I have the same question I contacted Epson by e-mail, and they sent the following reply. Close the lid for the Stylus C I thot I was going to have to buy another printer. Styluus this didn't help. Push down on the ink cartridge tab to access stylux cartridge holder. The compatibility with windows xp trick worked for me listed further down the page.
I am most grateful to Epson support for this. I can find no way to install the driver manually. I followed their steps, which leads to installing the driver manually, and it worked!
